An Alpine traverse from Nice to Litchenstein, The Med' to the Rhine. My route follows parts of the GR5, The TMB (Tour de Mont Blanc), The Chamonix -Zermatt, and The Alpine pass route plus links of my own. This years section is hopefully from Briancon(France) to Courmayeur(Italy: below Mont Blanc)
The path out of Utelle was carved out of the cliff-face. There was a spectacular drop down into the gorge below.
